ONCE UPON A TIME…
Left Aleppo mid of the 90’s at a very young age to build something on my own with a promise to comeback one day and build a business in my birth city, and with every visit to Aleppo to meet the family and friends I saw the growing potential with the booming businesses in Syria in the early 2000’s.
Ideas were many, but always rotate it on a business of making something rather than trading, creating a product rather than providing a service only, adding something to the country and community rather than just taking, and when the time comes to put the first step into this business, the country was going into a dramatic shift toward chaos, uncertainty and then a war. During those difficult times there was nothing more important than supporting who lived there by any possible way, and any personnel plan in Aleppo should be put on hold for some time, but I used the time to edit few details of that business to make sure that when the opportunity arise again the action plan should be ready for an immediate start and I focused on my business outside Syria and took more challenges in growing that business keeping an eye on the business climate back home.
Fast-forward and through another challenge the whole world faced during 2020, and with support of Rim we started taking steps in Mid-2021 to building this brand and to provide an opportunity for it within Aleppo for us as a brand founders and for the community around to have one extra possibility to find a decent job to support the families and to take this fine-tuned product from this accent city to the world to share its story.
We hope this story will add one more evidence in showing the resilience of Aleppo to defy the hard times, and will present the craftsmanship of thousands of years of its people in making soap that can add a touch of freshness to our life, softness to our skin and hope that life will go on and a better time are surely coming back.
