OUR STORY.. by Shadi MANSOUR
Hello, I am Shadi, I was born and raised in Syria till my early twenties and ever since I have been traveling and working in many places in this world from Africa, Europe, Middle East, north of the arctic circle, to the Far Far East till I reached Japan in recent years.
I met a lot of people, was introduced to many cultures, learned few languages sometimes few words on the way and always had a big respect to the pride and joy of those diverse places and civilizations.
In Syria we consider ourselves the heart of this world , the cradle of civilization. we have three out of ten of the oldest cities in this world or known to history, one and the oldest is Aleppo.
My wife and I met in 2011, got married in Aleppo and due to my travels plus the war that erupted in the cradle of civilization Syria we had to relocate a lot and loose many connections with our roots, my wife suffered a lot from this interruption and kept dreaming of her hometown. In Japan we had some time to think about how To connect back to Syria at the same time use our friendship to the citizens of the world we met in our travels to help and benefit the suffering society back in her home town, knowing my wife’s interest in art and decor, using her perfection drive for everything she does I was so happy to invest in her into this initiative.
The idea had been brewing in her head for long and it is time she starts; We have a message from this product not to emphasize on natural handmade original recipe that dates to 5000 years ago, the message is to create a connection with all other civilizations around us in this globe bringing them joy of this marvelous soap and reminding them that in Syria there are still good people trying to rise like the phoenix from the ashes of this war with the best they have with the few that remains.
Your purchase of those products will bring pride and joy to many broken hearts yet strong and hopeful.

I’ve been thinking of this business idea since July 2012, the day I decided to put an end to my trade in luxury, decoration and tableware, because of the war that devastated my country and destroyed my home city. Indeed, it was inconceivable maintaining my concept store “The Secret Garden”…

Left Aleppo mid of the 90’s at a very young age to build something on my own with a promise to comeback one day and build a business in my birth city, and with every visit to Aleppo to meet the family and friends I saw the growing potential with the booming businesses in Syria…
